This is actually not about the site. This is about me. To understand the site, it is best to understand me. I am a writer, editor, and photographer. I have a degree in Applied Math with a minor in Philosophy.

I am the senior editor and founder of Althaus Magazine and I have maintained a body of work on that site alone that stretches over the past three years.

I am a musician. I play bass and guitar. I was a part of several different groups starting at age 12, with my latest project being Cyanide Vogue. I dabbled in electronic music as well as rock, jazz and blues. I have been active in the international music scene for many years.

I am a photographer. I shoot under both my own name and under the pseudonym Ast Riske. I photograph people. I photograph bands. I photograph anything that I can capture with my camera in that fleeting moment.

I am a web developer. I take joy in solving problems. I like puzzles and I revel in the opportunity to mold things into a new shape for the web.

I love internet culture. People are strange and the internet is an amplifier. I enjoy seeing the graceless disaster that the world wide weird has become.

I believe in being politically incorrect simply because fearing words simply because they might be painful is like only eating macaroni and cheese because you are afraid that spicy food might give you indigestion.
