Attack of the Paper Cut-Outs
So, today’s theme seems to be paper cut-outs. I don’t make this stuff up, I find it on the internet. Seriously. Anyway, the first thing, I guess, isn’t so much a paper cut-out as it is a printable thing. Need a calendar? Not one you can write in, but just one to keep track of the date? You do? Then you’re in luck. This site is set up so you can print out a years worth of calendar info on one page. I believe it actually downloads to your computer as a PDF. Check it out:
Once you are done getting organized, then you can print off a camera. No joke! You want a camera? Perhaps your kid has been asking for one. That’s great because you can now easily print out the handy dandy Dirkon pinhole camera for assembly in your own home. Ok, so it is just a pinhole camera, but it still makes for a cool science project. You could probably even use it to photograph an eclipse, although I’m not promising that one. Have scissors, heavyweight paper and a lot of time on hand for this one. This is not a small-scale project, but then paper mods aren’t always quick or easy.

Now, for the next item, I couldn’t resist. I had to print one out and build it. Since we are doing flatpack stuff, then this is perfect. Someone took an art project and turned it into a free-to-download toy set that you can print and build yourself. Everything is meant to print on a single piece of 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper in color. Personally I chose the zombie boy. It’s actually a little gross, but I like it. Hopefully my coworkers won’t find the rotting paper thing on my desk too offensive…

My final slap in the face of all that is right and good in the world is Stupid.com. Stupid.com specializes in selling things that they think are generally stupid or useless. Personally I thought it was thoroughly amusing. They have suck wonders and sundry items as Nihilist Gum which has no flavor, a snot-nosed egg separator and my personal favorite, Horrified B-Movie Victims. Yes, you can have a horror scene right there on your desk. The construction on these puppies is the same as the little green army men of long ago, or the dumb quarter vending machine toys at the grocery store. Anyway, check out stupid!
