Emma Watson, Blasphemy, B13 and Anonymous
Posted in Web Stuff on February 15th, 2008 by AstI’d like to start off with Emma Watson due to the fact that my site has currently received several hits due to people searching for Emma. I’m not sure why. I’m not going to discourage people from coming here if they enjoy the blog, regardless of whether it was Emma or the zombies, but either way I don’t quite get it. I thought that maybe she had turned 18 and people were having an Emma-gasm. Nope. She’s 17 until April. I checked Wikipedia for that one. So, then I thought that, perhaps, there were some naughty pictures that had popped up on the net. Nope. No news of that either, nor did I see anything when I did a Google search for “Emma Watson” that was worth mentioning. The only naughty pictures that I saw of Emma were photoshopped pics so people could fantasize. The biggest thing to hit the news is Emma being linked (apparently incorrectly) to Johnny Burrell of Razorlight. (see the picture below) So I am left confused. Why the big hubbub all of a sudden about Emma? Meh, whatever. She’s just the new Anna Kournikova. Guys like her because she’s young and cute. Personally, I think it is a little spooky to lust after Hermione Granger.

Let’s take a quick blasphemy break. : ) I enjoy a good prank as much as the next guy and this one was too good not to post. I don’t have a lot to say about it except “where’s the cop and the indian, guys?” Young man, you can stay at the…

So, while I was going to UCSD I used to see this clip played all the time. It was this cool chase scene from a movie or something, but I didn’t know what. Generally chase scenes involve cars and guns and that kind of thing. This one has guns, but not a whole lot in the way of cars. As a matter of fact, this is a chase that involves nothing but foot travel. I finally came across what this was from, a movie called B13. I know nothing about the plot, nor the actors. I just like the chase scene.
Finally, I have been debating for almost a week now as to whether I really wanted post information about Anonymous and the protesting that went on around the world on February 10. I finally decided that I probably should. I even bore witness to the San Diego, CA demonstration at Horton Plaza. Apparently most of the people that were demonstrating were doing so in front of their local Scientology building. Well, there’s one in San Diego too, but it’s actually on the corner of Ash and 4th while the protesters were on the corner of 4th and Broadway which is a full 4 blocks from the actual Scientology building. All the same, I keep seeing pictures from demonstrations around the globe, so I thought I should bring a little info and a couple of pictures.Apparently the Anonymous movement was started by the group “Project Chanology,” however don’t bother looking for them, as their site is gone. I guess they got butthurt because people thought they had a good thing going. Anonymous has been posting clips of Tom Cruise speaking about Scientology and speaking out due to their feeling that Scientology is trying to limit free speech on the internet. Now this comes as little surprise since people have seen Scientology sue people for defamation when they speak out against the church. Naturally, when Digg started pulling articles from the front page as soon as Scientology staff voiced concern people on the internet were bound to get upset.Anonymous-related Web Resources:
