Internet vigilantes, pedobear and water pistols
Posted in Web Stuff on April 27th, 2008 by AstNow, it isn’t the most pleasant idea to get caught doing a dirty deed by the cops, but what about the internet community? Well, I’ll say that I think I would rather face the cops than the internet community. Lately we have seen Anonymous really take Scientology to task with their sites, videos and protests. My new favorite story of vigilante internet action comes from the theft of an XBox. So, a theif broke into someones home, stole their TV, laptop and XBox. The victim went to work, calling the police, but was informed that they were no help. Doing a little research he got a photo of the theif. He then posted the image to the internet and told everyone that would listen about his misery. You just have to read it for yourself. Check out the article linked below:
Those of you who have visited 4chan are familiar with Pedobear, the creepy cartoon bear added to images of kids and turning otherwise benign photos into images of weird cartoon pedophile bear activities… It’s just weird and creepy. So, pedobear showed up on a magazine cover. Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself:

So, if you liked playing in the rain as a kid, you will love this… Umbrella water pistols. The umbrella has a funnel on top that traps rainwater so you can shoot people with the gun in the handle. I love this idea, though you should avoid shooting strangers or you might be charged with assault. Just a word of warning.
