The dozenals…
Posted in General Blogging, Philosophy on July 21st, 2008 by AstI have discovered a numbering ideology that I am morally opposed to. Honest and true. I really dislike it. It’s called dozenal. Now, before I go any further, I would like to say that I have a BA in applied mathematics. I specialized in applying mathematics to the real world in college. Bearing that in mind, the simple idea of the existence of a base 12 numbering system doesn’t bother me one tick. I am just as comfortable with the idea that there are an infinite number of different numbering systems. This is fine.
