It’s a Luxury!

On BoingBoing today, I came across this article. Essentially, there is some guy that is suing Sony because their game isn’t blind-friendly. He’s partially blind and, I guess, he has trouble with those pesky games that are made for the sighted.

Let’s get this straight, he wants Sony to take something that is inherently visual and make it accessible for blind people. Moreover, he wants to take something that is a luxury item and force the courts to rule that it should be modified to meet his needs. This is, after all, a luxury, hence you have no RIGHT to it I’m aware of. Read more »

Yog’s Law – The Artists’ Way

Posted in General Blogging on November 9th, 2009 by Ast

So, let’s talk about pay to play for a moment, shall we? Typically this is a phrase applied to venues where bands play music. The web is monitored and the EU has actually discussed a three strikes rule, such that if you are caught doing naughty naughtiness then you will have your internet shut off, right quick. They know that you couldn’t have possibly collected that file legally and they don’t intend to have you doing that sort of thing again. Read more »

My Love Hate Relationship with Halloween

Growing up, I was a warped child. Let me rephrase that, a sick bastard like myself can only have come from a childhood rife with disturbing bullshit, hatred and a sense of sadism that ran a mile deep. I’m alright with this. I’m a sadistic wanker. That’s okay. You’re probably an asshole too, but I’m not going around judging you.

So, Halloween. This was my holiday. I loved candy and Halloween was ace for candy. I loved spooky stuff. I watched every horror flick I could lay my hands on. I specialized in the horror movie. I watched them all from House and House II to Poltergeist and Night of the Living Dead. This had a dramatic effect on what I dreamt of for Halloween. Read more »
