I still have plenty of love for Jimmy even though he hasn’t talked about my album Cold Days. Just sayin’, Jimmy! ; )

After poking about on the net today I discovered some troublesome information. It’s not the information itself which troubled me, but the apparent lack of understanding which went into the presentation of the data and what it could mean.

First I encountered an article discussing how America is losing the IQ race against other countries including Europe. The claim is made that Americans just aren’t producing thinkers anymore because our average intelligence is down. Moreover, he said he felt the average IQ for the US and Europe could be far higher if we tried harder.

There is a fundamental lack of understanding regarding the nature of IQ. Specifically, IQ is the mean of the current human intelligence. An IQ of 100 today may not equate to the same brainpower it equates to 500 years from now and probably isn’t the same as it was 500 years ago. Read more »

Five months (or so) after the release of Cold Days and almost 250 downloads, I’ve finished the bonus track I promised. I’ve included both the original album download and the bonus track, “A Thousand Years” below. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
